The Kotka campus was evacuated due to an unlawful threat

Xamk became aware that a student from the Kotka campus had made a death threat on the TikTok platform. The threat was not directly aimed at Xamk. Xamk reported the threat to the police and revoked the individual’s access rights to the campus.

Despite precautionary measures, the individual visited the campus, but was later taken into custody by the police. The campus was closed as a precaution because Xamk had no information about what the individual had done while on campus.

The campus will reopen tomorrow, Thursday, October 9, unless otherwise announced.
