Student card subscriptions for beginning students
Attention those who have ordered a student card or intend to do so. Student card subscriptions for students starting in the autumn of 2023 are in the waiting mode, as there is no student attendance data in the UAS system. This is perfectly normal for those starting in the autumn of 2023, and new members will be accepted from the beginning of August, after the attendance information has arrived.
Upon acceptance of the membership, the student will have access to the mobile Slice and/or Pivo student card. It takes a few weeks to print a physical card.
How do I order a student card?
The student card can be ordered from the Kaakko website: order student card. The student cards are sorted into two groups, degree students and open UAS students.
Degree student
When joining Kaakko, the degree student is entitled to VR and Matkahuolto student discounts, Kela meal-supported lunches and thousands of student discounts around Finland. During the ordering phase, students can choose to use a physical and mobile (Slice and/or Pivo) student card, or just a mobile student card. As a rule, the physical student card is delivered to the student union office, where the student can pick it up. If desired, the student can also pay a separate postage fee, after which the card is delivered directly to the home address.

Open UAS student
When joining Kaakko, an open UAS student gets access to thousands of student discounts around Finland. Unlike a degree student’s student card, an open UAS card does not receive VR/Matkahuolto student discounts or Kela meal support. As a rule, the physical student card is delivered to the student union office, where the student can pick it up. Diploma student

Unlike a degree student’s student card, diploma students does not receive VR/Matkahuolto student discounts or Kela meal support. As a rule, the physical student card is delivered to the student union office, where the student can pick it up. Where can I find a student number?
You can find your student number on Peppi (see picture). For those starting in 2023, the student number is in the form of “23xxxxxx” instead of “X” has the student’s personal number sequence.

- card + membership 4.5 academic years 142 €
- Postage 5 € /postage
Prices include plastic card, membership and handling fees. You can save 17€ if you don’t order a plastic student card.
